Visit Banda Aceh Year 2011 to be Launched in October
ANTARA News - The Culture and Tourism Ministry will launch a Visit Banda Aceh Year 2011 program in October in a move to attract more tourists to visit the capital of Indonesia`s westernmost province. The program would be launched in Jakarta in October but no exact date had been set, Head of the Banda Aceh City Culture and Tourism Service Reza Fahlevi said on Friday.

North Maluku to Host "Sail Morotai"
ANTARA News - North Maluku is expected to host an international marine event of "Sail Morotai" to promote marine tourism in the province. After a successful Sail Bunaken 2009 in North Sulawesi and Sail Banda 2010 in Maluku, President Susilo Bambang Yudhoyono wants North Maluku to host similar event, called "Sail Morotai."

Tourist Arrivals Up 14 pct
ANTARA News - More than 3.38 million foreign tourists visited Indonesia in the first half of 2010, up 14 percent from the same period last year, the Central Statistics Agency (BPS) said. In June 2010 alone, more than 613.4 thousand foreign tourists visited the country, an 11.41 percent increase compared to the same period last year, BPS Chief Rusman Heriawan said here on Monday.
